Your First Visit

  1. 1

    Intake

Initial intake forms are an important first step to your chiropractic care and allow our doctors to understand your history and get to know you. You can download and complete these forms before your first visit, or arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill them out in our office.

  2. 2

    Initial Consultation

Welcome to your first chiropractic appointment! Our doctors will take a thorough look through your intake forms and begin your visit with a sit down to chat through your health history, wellness goals, and any other questions or concerns you may have about chiropractic care.

  3. 3

    Examination

Your chiropractic care will begin with a physical exam from one of our doctors to assess your posture and alignment. Then, we dig a little deeper with our state of the art CLA Scan technology. These scans help us look deeper than the spine to tell us how well the nervous system is functioning and where any underlying issues may reside. These noninvasive scans do not put anything into the body and are completely safe for everyone.

  4. 4

    Digital X-ray Studies

Depending on the scope of your care and what will serve your body best, your chiropractic doctor may suggest digital X-rays be completed. These X-rays are affordable and are offered on site at RAI Chiropractic. They will allow the doctor to visualize your entire spine, giving them the most precise information so they can provide you with the best possible care.

Your Second Visit

  1. 1

    Report of findings

The first portion of your second visit will be dedicated to going over all the findings from your history, exam, scans, and X-rays (if taken). Armed with this information, you and the doctor will then discuss recommendations and decide together the best plan of action for your chiropractic care. We always encourage bringing a friend or family member to this portion of your visit since we do cover a lot of ground.

  2. 2

    Care

With a plan for chiropractic care in place, it’s time for your first adjustment. Our doctors will walk you through what to expect during this care and always take great care to make sure you’re getting the most precise adjustment for your needs and goals. We encourage patients to ask any questions they may have about their care — it’s important to us that you feel safe and comfortable under our care.

  3. 3

    Ongoing Care

Community is at the forefront of everything we do, and you’ll never be just another patient to us — you’re now part of the RAI Chiropractic family! We’ll continue to work with you through your customized care plan, and our goal is to help you build healthy habits, ensure you’re feeling supported during your chiropractic care, and have you feeling and functioning at your very best.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who does RAI Chiropractic help?

Family-focused chiropractic care is at the center of what we do here at RAI Chiropractic, but we help people from all ages and stages of life looking to pursue long-term functional wellness! This includes babies, children, adults, athletes, and those who are pregnant. If you’re located in Langley or the Lower Mainland and are ready to take a proactive approach to your health, we’re excited to help you get started.

What do you do at RAI Chiropractic?

Our chiropractic doctors provide general, prenatal, pediatric, and athletic chiropractic services using a functional approach centered around lasting results. At RAI Chiropractic, we use the Gonstead Technique. As a longstanding Langley chiropractic clinic, we value community and maintaining a positive environment where patients can seek pain relief, pain prevention, and natural healing for themselves, their family, or their family-to-be.

What is the “Gonstead Technique”?

There are more than 100 chiropractic techniques in the world today. The Gonstead Method is more than just a technique. It is a system of meticulous analysis and evaluation, combining all necessary information, followed by delivering a specific, “hands-on”, bio-mechanically correct chiropractic adjustment. A Gonstead adjustment is comfortable, effective and incredibly safe.

The focus of a Gonstead adjustment is to be as specific, precise and accurate as possible, addressing only the problem areas (areas of subluxation). Great care is taken to ensure a mechanically correct position and a precise thrust to provide the most accurate and comfortable adjustment possible.

How does RAI Chiropractic operate?

Chiropractic care uses hands-on, non-invasive techniques that can help restore your body’s foundational systems so you can heal naturally. Here at RAI Chiropractic, our doctors also help you maintain long-term balance and health by providing you with the right tools and knowledge. You’ll be given a folder containing your customized wellness program with all the information discussed during your appointments, and you’ll also receive our online RAI Chiropractic “Kick Start Your Health Workshop” via email to continue your education and care from the comfort of your own home!

What is CLA scan technology?

Our CLA scan technology is state of the art and helps us look deeper than the spine to tell us how well the nervous system is functioning and where any underlying issues may reside. These non-invasive scans do not put anything into the body and are completely safe for everyone, including infants and pregnant people.

When can I start chiropractic care?

As soon as we’re able! The team here at RAI Chiropractic is always thrilled when someone decides to pursue chiropractic care, and we’ll do our best to work with your schedule. That being said, our focus is on long-term wellness.

Where is RAI Chiropractic located?

RAI Chiropractic is your friendly Langley neighbourhood chiropractor! We’re located at 106-8047 199 St, close to the Langley Events Centre, but our patients are located all over the Lower Mainland, including Maple Ridge, Abbotsford, and Surrey.
